PhoneTray uses your USB voice modem connected to the phone line to monitor incoming calls and block unwanted callers. PhoneTray shows incoming calls on your computer's screen and announces caller's name and number through your computer speakers. You can block an unwanted call when the call comes in and add the caller's number to your Black list to block all future calls from that caller. PhoneTray also blocks thousands of known telemarketers and phone scammers automatically using PhoneTray online anti-spam database.
Call alerts
When a new call is detected, PhoneTray displays tray call alert in the bottom right-corner of the screen:
Tray alert shows the caller's name and number, date/time of the call and the line that received the call (if there is more than 1 line). Tray alert settings can be configured on the Settings - Tray Alerts screen.
PhoneTray also displays full screen call alert showing the incoming call information using large font so you can see it from a distance:
Full screen alert displays the caller's name, number and the line that received the call (if there is more than 1 line). Full screen alert settings can be configured on the Settings - Full Screen Alerts screen.
PhoneTray also announces incoming calls and rings on incoming calls through computer speakers. You can assign custom ringtones for calls from your contacts. You can also set up a custom announcement for a specific contact. To configure how incoming calls are announced please go to the Settings - Speech screen. To change ringtones and ringing options for incoming calls please use the Settings - Ringtones screen.
Calls list
All your calls are logged and the full call history is displayed on the Calls screen:

Each call is represented by a row in the grid. The columns show the caller's Name, Number and Date/Time of the call. Notes column contains the note you added for the call if any. If the second line is enabled on the Settings - Lines screen, you will see the Lines column indicating which line received a call.
Call blocking
PhoneTray blocks incoming calls by answering the call and playing a message to the caller. We call it 'zapping'. PhoneTray comes with several useful zap messages. In addition you can record your own messages or use any audio files from the Internet. If you want to block a caller, click on a call from the number you want to block and click the Block Number button on the Calls ribbon menu.
Black List contains a list of callers that you decided to block. Additional call blocking options such as blocking calls from telemarketers in PhoneTray online anti-spam database, calls from toll-free numbers, calls from Private / Blocked / Out of Area numbers can be configured on the Call Blocking screen.
Contacts list
PhoneTray has advanced Contact Manager that you can use to organize your contacts.

You can store a contact's name, company name, up to 5 phone numbers, 2 emails, website, 2 addresses, birthday, notes and other information for each contact.
PhoneTray notification icon
